A favorite Texas joke:  A land developer in West Texas was having a hard time convincing a Yankee that it never snowed in that area.  Finally the Yankee saw an old cowboy on the sidewalk and yelled at him.  "Have you ever seen snow here?"  The cowboy took his hat off and scratched his head as he thought back through all the years he had lived there.  Then he replied.  "No sir -- but I did see it rain once."

You can be a Texan,
one foot at a time.

There is a company selling the "Lone Star." SOT Group, Ltd., a company whose partners are Texans, launches Share of Texas (http://www.shareoftexas.com ), an intriguing Texas gift item where anyone can own one square foot of Texas and be a "bona fide" Texan. The Share of Texas gift features a frame-able land certificate, designed after those issued in the 1800's and written with Texas vernacular and humor. The land scrip, also referred to as the "fancy certificate," looks great on the wall and is a fun conversation piece. The buyer also receives a detailed map to the property, a survival guide, a Texan ID Card and a small Texas Flag.
Customers of Share of Texas have full access to their Share of Texas land,
which is located in the Big Bend wilderness of Texas, just north of Big Bend National Park. The land is remote and untamed wilderness.

Who are Texans?

Since the days during Spanish rule, Texas land has been a key force in the
shaping of the colorful history and undeniable character of Texans. It was
the prospect of owning large tracks of land that brought settlers from all
over America, and in fact, from all over the world. These new Texans shared common determination, independence, and willingness to endure the hardships necessary to survive in the Texas wilderness. The Share of Texas product enables those with the same audacity, or those who aspire such character, to officially own a piece of Texas and stake their claim as a Texan.

How does it work?

Share of Texas customers own one-undivided interest in approximately
120 acres which is the equivalent of one square foot. This gives the customer right of access to the entire 120 acres of land, with the stipulation that they cannot disturb the natural beauty of the land. This is NOT an investment and is strictly a novelty item.

The Share of Texas gift is perfect for those hard to buy for people.  Share of Texas has customers ranging from doctors, lawyers, and accountants to
military officers. The product has been purchased domestically and
internationally and even by Texans for Texans.

Where to buy?

The products are available at http://www.shareoftexas.com .
