| If we are ever going to halt and reverse the
flow of illegal aliens over our border we must get serious about
it. Here is my serious plan to stop the invasion of our country
by illegal immigrants. Step #1, We MUST start at the root cause of this invasion and begin issuing heavy fines for any employer found using illegal aliens. These fines should at least double each time any employer is again found using illegal aliens. Something just short of this was done in Oklahoma in 1997 and within weeks there was scarcely an illegal to be seen in the whole state. Were there any complaints? Yes! Illegal aliens protested this law made them feel unwelcome in the state of Oklahoma. Now it's time to make them feel unwelcome in the United States. Let's put some real teeth into the laws so that these pitiful employers know better than to break them. Any time the government is ready to sweep in for arrests there should be a simultaneous investigation by OSHA, EOCC, and the IRS. Before any evidence can be destroyed, see where the hazardous chemicals are being disposed and immediately compare the ratio of chemicals disposed against the actual production needs creating those chemicals. Employers wouldn't do anything

| That was a small company, less than a hundred employees.
After a huge, international company had been caught using illegals I interviewed a member of the HR department. That company had been warned a full week in advance that government officials would be checking out its hiring records for irregularities -- and (on the advice of its lawyers) the company used the HR department overtime to destroy, erase and delete every piece of incriminating evidence they could find. Does that forewarning and deliberate delay sound like our government WANTS to find incriminating evidence? No! I also submit that any company hiring illegal aliens, especially if they claim they didn't know they were doing so, should be investigated for its safety performance and adherence to safety guidelines. The government should investigate the company's state of maintenance and housekeeping. It should advertise for witnesses to step forward and testify of discrimination against American workers by the company. By the same token: Any time an improper disposal of chemicals is detected at a company, or any time substandard work is discovered, the government should be made to check and see if that company has been getting away with this because it is employing illegal aliens. Why? Because properly trained American workers would know in a heartbeat if some shady deal was going down and -- eventually -- eventually, someone would have enough nerve to report it. Why should we be so tough on those using aliens in food preparation? Because these employers (like Swift, Petit Jean Poultry and Tyson Foods) don't monitor who actually shows up for work every day. "He says his name is Geronimo! Must be a cousin or something to that guy by the same name working here last night." The original hire may have been healthy enough, but what about interchangeable clones Geronimo II, III and IIII? |

if our country is going to be protected from invasion
the impetus must come from its citizens -- from you and me. What can we do? We can ask Congress to offer a one time amnesty package for six months. Now my amnesty is a whole lot different than the kind of amnesty you've heard Congress offering us. By "amnesty" I mean that no charges will be filed against them for being here IF they leave the country voluntarily and don't get caught while leaving. To qualify for this amnesty illegal aliens must voluntarily turn themselves in, register, and agree to immediately leave the United States of their own accord. For having demonstrated some belated measure of good faith, these volunteers for exportation can be put on a waiting list to be first in line for legal re-entry -- after those already on the waiting list are safely immigrated -- in case the United States ever does really need more workers. Without waiting for this six month amnesty period to begin or end, Congress should be asked to offer reward money to American citizens for spotting illegal aliens. By peering from behind her curtains even Grandma can spot illegal aliens, pick up her phone to call a toll free number of the Border Patrol in Washington and turn them in. (Our local police are pitifully overweight and they have consistently turned blind eyes on this national invasion, therefore they should not be called) For each alien she spots let's reward Grandma with another $100 to play Bingo with. In a matter of days there will be a whole lot of rich Grandmas in this country and the bulk of this invasion will be on its way to being exported. Earning bounty money this way is so easy even punk kids can make a good living while frolicking along of a cool Saturday morn. Those illegal aliens who are apprehended in this manner will be fingerprinted, face fines, working on public clean up projects, prison time or immediate deportment as our judges decide. For each illegal alien apprehended the country of origin should be penalized by a reduction in its share of foreign aid by a minimum of $1,000.00 and if that country is not receiving foreign aid from the United States then a tariff should be levied against all its exports to the United States until that penalization has been received. One more thing while we are at this point, the country of origin should be made to pay for all the accidents caused by its illegal aliens while in the United States. Modern Day Bounty HuntersOur pitifully overweight police force is in constant need of information that helps them solve serious crimes. Crime Stoppers, We-Tip and similar organizations provide monetary incentives to report crime information to local police or to the FBI. That"s good. But it doesn't go far enough! Since we are fining employers $1,000 for each violation of hiring illegal aliens instead of American workers we can offer bounty hunters 50% of those fines for turning in the dog that bit them. Citizen Cops can already SUE lawbreakers for personal
damages -- and/or to collect much larger rewards (up to
$250,000!) for felony crime information from city,
county, state and federal governments! This fact should
be published weekly, then monthly throughout the United
States. Ask (Demand, INSIST) that your Representatives in Congress adequately fund the Border Patrol and the United States Marshal Service so they can fingerprint these criminals immediately. These two mighty arms of the law enforcement community are not hampered by the same county borders and state restrictions as our other policing agencies. Unlike city police and sheriff's deputies they have the authority and the desire to get out there and get with it. Don't let the government hold them back any longer! There is no excuse in the world for the way Congress and the president are crippling these fine officers with inadequate funds and broken down equipment as they have been. Our southern border is 1,951 miles long. The cost of building a strong fence along that border should be far less than what the Congressional Budget Office estimates we are paying to keep a few hotheads in Iraq from invading us for just one month. |
| The illegal aliens will be back – say the cynics. Yes, some of them will. Step three: Illegal aliens that have already been deported once, then are subsequently apprehended for being illegally in this country again should be immediately imprisoned to the full extent of the law -- with NO mercy allowed -- and immediately placed under armed guard repairing the damage done by the illegal alien invasion and repairing the destruction done to our National Parks, National Monuments, National Wildlife Refuges, and National Forests on our borders. It now costs about $300,000 annually just to recover and store the bodies of illegal immigrants who die in just Pima County Arizona alone, according to the Pima County Administrator, Chuck Huckelberry -- Let our hardened criminals haul out these dead bodies. There is more damage yet: it cost $100,000 in federal grants and $30,000 of its own money for the Tohono O'odham Tribe in Arizona to remove 40 tons of trash from 84 trash sites in the past year. Put the illegal aliens to cleaning up after themselves. on their way out. By following these four steps we will reverse and eliminate the invasion of our country and even come out money ahead on the problem. |
