It's 09:46 am, Monday Morning

How would you like to have your book published and in your hand by Thursday or Friday, 2 weeks from today?  Sure, you'll be humping it, and 30 days is much more realistic, but 2 weeks; it can be done.

Dear Friend,

This is Lin Stone and  I heard those very words every day for 40 years before I made my first $100.  I heard them so often that if someone else wasn't saying those words to me, I was.  Every time I heard them I would knuckle down to face the pain of it and the humiliation.  When it got real bad I would burn everything I had produced, then I'd look up in the sky and I would say:  "I'd rather be dead than never be read."  Then I would go back to writing again.

Well, that's over and done with.
You just Google my name now and see what you get, by golly.

You may already be aware of the fierce competition in the writing field. Most of those who submit unsolicited manuscripts to publishing houses are rejected without the book even being read. It's a standing joke that many manuscripts never get opened at all, much less read.  After 2 or 300 rejection slips any writer on earth feels justified in being soured on the idea of getting their book published by these hotty-tot publishing houses.   Well guess what, Over 90% of the books by unknown authors that they do accept and publish, FLOP!

That doesn't mean your book would have done any better, but if they are wrong 90 times out of a hundred doesn't that mean that you deserve the same chance to put your book out on the shelf too?  It took me awhile to learn this important fact of life: Editors don't buy books, people do -- or don't -- and, let's face it, usually they don't.  If real people see your book and reject it, so what?  Repeat after me...  "I'd rather be dead than never be read."   Now, have at it again, as my Daddy used to say.  What I have to show you here is cheap enough that you can do ten books and still be better off than doing one with a half-vanity press.

You have always wanted to write your own book and get it published, haven't you?  Have you heard about vanity press, that bunch of people that promise to publish your book and then make you order hundreds of copies. This exercise in futility costs thousands of dollars -- and who has the money, these days, to put out that kind of money just to get their book published? Most people are aware of vanity press and want to avoid it because it costs so much money.  Well, let me warn you about publishing houses out there that don't admit they are vanity presses, but they take your money just the same.  WATCH OUT for any company that asks how many copies YOU can sell.

Then there's another thing about those real publishing houses and the vanity presses too, it takes a year or two before your book is on the shelf.  If you've got a hot idea don't you want to see it available to the world before it gets cold?

As you may have guessed, I have a solution to the problem.  Before we go any farther though I want you to realize that if your writing is less than great, no amount of hyper ventilating will make it sell.  On the other hand, I want you to realize that editors do not buy books; they use their best guesses and put the books they guessed on out for sale.  Millions of dollars in sales promotions will not sell a bad book to the public.

Most of what I wrote back then WAS slop!  Pigs wouldn't even eat it, my writing was so bad.  But I picked up some shortcuts, shortcuts to writing, to publishing, and to selling.  You just do a Google for Lin Stone or Tale Wins now.  I write so much that I need two other pen names and I'm still thinking about adding one more to take care of the overflow.  I have a hard drive choked full of bits and pieces I'm going to write, someday.  There really IS a shortcut to writing, and I want you to have it, just for old times sake.

Today it is easier than ever to get a book published and I want to show you some straight-to-the-mark short cuts.

Perhaps you have an idea for a book but do not know how to put it together? This is common for someone who is considering writing either a fiction novel or a non-fiction book. Writing the book may seem easy for someone who has never before undertaken this endeavor, but it can be far from easy. The way the book reads upon completion is not the same way that it comes out of your head. A book starts with a creative spark - an idea, the title of a song, an image or even a dream that you had - and goes from there. It can be difficult to convey everything concisely in a 200 page book. You have to be concerned about consistency, character building and plot movement in the book.

But if you want to write a book, there is hope for you. If you have the desire to be a published author, the only thing that is stopping you from doing so is yourself. You can write a book and have it published without it costing you a fortune.

Hope for every writer!...

Never Revealed Before
Information!

Every writer has a voice that they long to be heard. It is just a matter of getting that voice out to the public by way of the book. Unfortunately, the big publishing houses will very rarely take a book by an unknown author. Most of them do not accept unsolicited manuscripts at all -- and most will only deal with the best, high-powered literary agents.

Literary agents do not usually accept manuscripts from an unknown writer, either.  You need to be "introduced" and even then they might charge a fortune up front before even reading what you have to offer.

Is this fair?  You probably don't think so, but look at it from their point of view.  They have families to feed and futures to make, just like you do.  They look for books from someone who has a proven track record and will make them lots of MONEY.  Agents in the big firms today usually have a law degree and act as a lawyer on behalf of their clients.  If you are a great success THAT is the kind of literary agent you will want -- and need.   Unfortunately, like most lawyers, they do not like to work for free unless they feel that there is something big in it for them somewhere down the line.

But thanks to the Internet as well as advances in computer technology that involve printing, any writer can get their book published in an affordable way in just a matter of weeks. Forget vanity press - those days are over! You can get your book self published with an online company that offers new and experienced writers a chance to get their voices heard. This is a print to order procedure that does not cost the writer much money at all and will even get your book listed on Amazon. If you have always wanted to be a writer, now is the time to do so!

This guide is for new writers with a manuscript to shop, and those who have been bitterly struggling for years.  It gives you some real shortcuts to writing a better book. In addition, it reveals how to get your book published in a matter of weeks, then some good ideas about how you might market your self published book.  Believe it or not, that is something that you will have to do even if you have a book published by the big mainstream presses.

This is the first book of its kind.  It tells you the truth about the struggle you face and it gives you the shortcuts and the resources you need to get what you want.
