Growing Minds, Inc., which will be doing business as BabyClassroom.com, has launched its online retail store at www.babyclassroom.com. The store specializes in providing stimulating, fun, and educational videos and digital video discs (DVDs) for babies and toddlers.
The Web site is designed to make parents and grandparents go ga-ga. The colors and graphics all say babies, and love. According to an independent study by Bruno and Ridgway Research Associates, Inc., baby videos are among the top 10 toy-related products purchased by mothers or received as gifts. For one thing, baby videos encourage mental development, and make learning fun.
There is hardly a better focal point to be had.
Founded by Carla Blake, who is herself a stay-at-home-mother, BabyClassroom.com is a truly parent-driven Web site, featuring diverse products for children with diverse needs-including complete collections from award-winning industry leaders like The Baby Einstein® Company and Baby BumbleBee®-and dedicated to providing a simple, affordable shopping avenue for discerning mothers and fathers.
This is a great selling point and one to consider in any new enterprise. In view of today's dollar value, parents today are busy -- and understandably frugal. They also want to make the right choices for their children and provide quality education and entertainment.
The business concept of BabyClassroom.com revolves around the following features to help parents accomplish these goals.:
Baby videos of this quality have a proven ability to calm or captivate children as young as one month old. Also, following the release of The Mozart Effect by former choral conductor Don G. Campbell in 1997, baby videos are now frequently viewed by parents as educational tools that can encourage their children’s mental development through stimulating sights, sounds, and movements.
“But real life is not about round-the-clock education,” Blake insists. “Children have fun and are entertained watching these videos. To us, that is an equally important benefit.”
In addition to selling the Baby Einstein and Baby BumbleBee collections, Blake's store offers videos from Bilingual Baby®, Brainy Baby®, So Smart®, First Impressions®, and other leading companies in this field. The site is already profitable.
The company’s business office is located in the founder's home in Richlands, North Carolina. For more information, please visit www.babyclassroom.com. After you've looked at how the web site is laid out and its use of color combinations, take a look at the Educational videos being offered as basic products: The Baby Einstein series captures even the youngest child's attention. Other titles, such as Baby Shakespeare, Baby Newton, and Baby Van Gogh are great for introducing a baby to the arts. The Neighborhood & World Animals titles are a delightful way to begin nurturing your baby’s love of the animal kingdom. Videos in the Baby BumbleBee’s Bee Smart Baby series are better suited for older infants between the ages of 4 months and 36 months. Their Vocabulary Builder & Action Words series were designed to promote successful language learning. The Baby Math series gives your baby a great foundation in counting 1-10. The Talking Hands video teaches young children more than 30 words using American Sign Language (ASL) and Signing Exact English (SEE). Children have the ability to sign even before they can speak. Studies show that this type of stimulation helps with language development.Parents report that Baby Mozart, Baby Bach, and Baby Beethoven are able to calm their 1-month-old babies! Babies are drawn to the images and the soothing classical music.
Videos in the Brainy Baby series are most suited for infants 9 months and older. They concentrate on many cognitive brain skills such as sequencing, logic, and reasoning. Titles offered include the Brainy Baby Left Brain & Right Brain, ABCs, 123’s, and Shapes & Colors.
The So Smart! series offers interactive learning for your little one. The DVD version includes interactive games that can be played on the TV screen with the remote control. The So Smart! series give babies and toddlers their “first” experience with letters, colors, and words. The Baby's First Impressions videos use bright colors, upbeat music and familiar objects to encourage learning. They are recommended for children ages 8 months to 5 years.
The Bilingual Baby series uses a well-established teaching system that has long been used by educators and language experts. The child only hears the language being taught.
It is little short of miraculous how many things Carla has done right with the business and the web site. She has taken one complete concept and made it uniquely her own. As more and more traffic arrives at her site she can expect radical growth. Using her as a role model you too can concentrate on your own success.

Make Money as a Fundraiser. I am much more ambivalent about presenting this book. However, I'm also sure this is one book you will definitely want to keep around so save it to a safe place. The first third is nothing but a pitch for a traffic generating system. How good that system is I don't know and don't intend to find out. However, the other two thirds of the book is the genuine article. It is full of hard-hitting information that will launch your career in fundraising right to the top. So, I am including the book, but suggest that you use the scroll bar on the right hand side and go down one third of the way before you ever begin reading.
