As of 7October 2011 CE. Tale Wins
will no longer update this department, nor take
special phone calls asking us to find old insurance companies.
This free service has helped those needing it since 1999 and I'm tired.
I don't regret providing the service,
but now old age is creeping up on me and
I really need to work on building up my retirement.
Thank you.

Start your search by looking here for insurance companies with web sites.. then look to your RIGHT for my list of companies I have already found that don't have a web site. Don't worry about paying us, our help doesn't cost you a cent; our main service is absolutely FREE! However, IF YOU DON'T AT LEAST KNOW THE OLD NAME OF YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY, THEN I CAN'T HELP YOU AT ALL, -- and bribes won't work either. Every insurance company name that I have found that now has its own web site for that name I have now linked to it in an almost alpha-numerical order BY CATEGORY so that you and your friends can find the one you are looking for, easily.

At various times there were FOUR carriers by
the name of C Section Christian Fidelity: When the beneficiaries go looking
through the private papers of a loved one they will be thrilled to
find a life insurance policy. Then, most beneficiaries will begin
hoping fervently that insurance company is still around to be found.
Don't lose hope if the phone number doesn't work or nobody has
ever heard of that company. The oldest company I have found was
lost in 1880.
Years after he was gone, someone found an
old, tattered life insurance policy, and said: "I wonder if
anyone can track this company down?" Most of them, CAN BE FOUND. They may be found dead, moved, absorbed or liquidated, but most of them can be found and those old policies might still be just as good as gold. |

But if you ask me for help in finding one of the old companies that they have acquired -- by name -- I'll STILL let you have the new name. address, and URL of this powerful company. Just be aware you may need a lawyer to get any justice.
Follow up.. Speaking of lawyers... sometimes it seems like there is a lawyer in every pot, but that is only until you actually need one. I think that's because when you actually need a lawyer you are totally focused on the need to find a GOOD one. A friend of mine has just created a web site to help you find the best attorneys in each area. Attorney-2-Win was founded so that Americans needing mesothelioma attorneys, car accident lawyers, medical malpractice attorneys or real estate lawyers have an online resource to consider for their choice of legal counsel. |

Dim-witted, Ding Blasted DuWaddie World Yeah. I can understand your frustration. And I have also seen the causes reflected on a lot of searches..
About $17 million came from two life insurance companies that changed from mutual to stock companies. Thousands of policyholders or beneficiaries could not be located because, in many cases, they had moved and THEY did not notify the company. The money was therefore turned over to the State of Minnesota and is waiting to be claimed by the rightful owners. Note 2: Each year, the Minnesota Department of Commerce publishes a list of individuals and businesses that appear to be the rightful owners of unclaimed property that was turned over to the state the year before. Owners with last known addresses in Greater Minnesota counties will find their names in newspapers around the state beginning December 1. Owners from Metro counties were listed in area papers earlier this year. |

Sadly enough the fact is, if you haven't had contact with your life insurance company in the last ten years that it may have moved twice or passed through three or more hands since then. IF your policies were passed on to a new company at each stage then there is every chance the value has actually increased. Of course, there is also the possibility that your policy did not get passed on and that it no longer exists. There is only one way to find out which way your value has gone and that is to check it out. Now, if you are doing this for a deceased person then your primary concern right now should be finding out that a policy was actually taken out in favor of the deceased. If there never was a policy, then there won't be any money. Life is as simple as that. If the insurance policy was allowed to lapse, the situation is usually pretty bad. What if the company itself has gone completely belly up? Well, that's usually much worse. But not always, especially if it has just happened in the past three years. Here's some good news.. An insurance policy may not be all your friend left behind. In the United States, experts think that about $40 billion in unclaimed money is collecting dust in state Abandoned and Unclaimed Property offices today. Some of the monetary items that end up in a state's possessions after being declared abandoned by the holding institution include:

I first learned about this problem when my father died. It came as a rude shock that his burial insurance policy could not be found, nor the company located that we thought he had used. Then (with only a few days to spare before all the money for Daddy's final arrangements came out of my pocket) we discovered not one life insurance policy, but FOUR! Unfortunately, none of those life insurance companies were still located at their original address. I had to find them, dig them up -- and because I am so good at finding things, that search only required a few days. The toll-free phone numbers for these companies came in just minutes before we had to come up with all the money, or else Daddy would be dumped in the street like a pauper. But all those insurance companies VOLUNTEERED to wire the money directly into the account of the mortuary in a process called "assignment." All we had to do was fax a copy of the death certificate to their offices -- and the mortuary took care of that for us, on the spot. We even got cash back. As I got to thinking later how grateful we were to find those companies, it came to me that performing this service would be a great opportunity to do meaningful community service, as our Church Leaders ask us to. Consequently, I put up this page and put up the addresses of those first four. Nobody wanted them, but I was deluged with requests for other companies. One by 1 I did find all those companies on the long list to your right. One company at a time, I have tracked down the changes in hundreds of life insurance company names and entities so that people in similarly desperate straits could get paid -- or at least find out if they had any funds coming.

If you FIND the company's name, even if you can't find the
policy,
you will need the policy owner's social security number and date of birth,
