Literary AGENCIES
| There are thousands of agents out there
besides Tale Wins. Take heart and give them
the chance to make a buying decision about your properties...
Now, here are a few agents I personally believe are good, honest, and true. That doesn't mean they are, or will be
the right agent for you, just that they have impressed me. Gail Ross http://www.gailross.com Bill Adler http://www.adlerbooks.com Michael Larson http://www.larsen-pomada.com/main2.html Jenny Bent http://www.jennybent.com Ted Weinstein http://www.twliterary.com Michelle Tessler http://www.carlisleco.com Get one of these agents who has time for your project, who believes in your writing, is willing to work with you to present your offer in the best light possible. I personally love Writer's Net. Some really great authors have contacted Tale Wins from here. Jeff Herman's book Writer's Guide to Book Editors, Publishers, and Literary Agents lists many super good agents too. This year, Writer's Market lists agents (once again) too. I trust the judgment of these three sources. Most agents you see listed in them are worth investigating. WritersNet(sm): The Internet Directory of Published Writers is the place to start looking for your agent. Not only that, Stephan Spencer has done a terrific job here for authors. Listing yourself and your work is made easy and everything uploads quickly. An on-site editor lets you update, or new and improve your post with ease. I endorse this site whole-heartedly. There are also message boards here for writers, editors, and agents. Another really good site to find an agent on is found HERE. For the cowardly lions among us, and that includes me, visit Red Dog, and present samples of your work there so that agents and publishers can find YOU. Another good assembly point is Literary Agents. Best of it is, personal opinion and personal evaluation of the agents mentioned. Do you need an agent at all? The Horror Writers Association has provided an answer to that question which rings true on every level. I suggest it is a good answer for any type of writer to investigate. |

Specializes in self-help, health, spirituality, literary fiction, and other genres The Great Unpublished is an opportunity to get published NOW, without an agent, and have backup on the marketing of your book. At e-publishingaustralia.com we are working towards a new concept in publishing and author representation based on the increasing access of the world to the Internet. We are literary agents and work hard to get your work published and read by the world. Xlibris lets you get published NOW, too, but in my opinion doesn't offer the backup marketing strategy that The Great Unpublished does.
